Are the inserts for GW9502 weighted or buoyant? PENTAIR/STA-RITE BUMPER INSERT W/3290-02 | GW9520 Pentair Sta-Rite Great White Cleaner Parts

After 10 years my Great White suddenly isn't sticking flush to the pool surface. So it can't climb the walls very far and in the shallow end the bumper side lifts up and barely skims the bottom, quickly moving back to the deep end. I have replaced the skirt, brush ring, all the moving internal parts and the suction is excellent. Thinking the inserts might be the issue. Pentair support is stumped. Thinking of buying the bumper GW9520 for a try. Your thoughts?
